A trip to Ouray is not complete without a stop at the Ouray County Museum . The museum features the history of mining, ranching, and railroading in Ouray County as well as showcasing large displays of minerals, Indian artifacts, and Victorian artifacts. With 38 permanent exhibits, and numerous special exhibits throughout the year, the Ouray County Museum is a fun educational way to spend the afternoon. Don’t forget to ask for information on Ouray’s walking tour featuring the most superb of Ouray’s 31 historical commercial buildings still in use and over 25 restored Victorian homes and churches.
